November 16,2023: We have had inquiries about the recent news of a mysterious respiratory illness in dogs across the country. Currently, very little is known about the illness and there are no official recommendations. We continue to require updated vaccinations and suggest closely monitoring your dog’s health prior to boarding. As always, owners should not bring their dogs here to our facility if there are signs of any illnesses. While we understand the cases are extremely few, we are in close contact with our veterinarian and choose to be vigilant and stay informed.

We are only accepting new clients with dogs that can socialize and play with other like-minded dogs in a group environment. We are not accepting new dogs that are aggressive to people or other dogs.
Northwest Dog Retreat offers overnight dog boarding and training. We also specialize in ear scratching and belly rubs. Sorry, four legged friends only!
We provide friendly social interaction and playtime for the dogs. There are two smaller outdoor play areas and one large outdoor play area with lots of clean, durable toys. Your dogs will have the opportunity to socialize with other dogs and play all day, except during a mid-day rest period or while eating or sleeping. Social interactions are continually monitored for safety and good play manners.
Each kennel is 70 square feet of comfort with access to both indoors and outdoors through a doggy door. All kennels are extremely secure with spring latches and safety clips. The kennels are heated by in-floor radiant heat to keep paws warm, and a Kuranda elevated dog bed is provided along with blankets, water pails and bowls.
Outside, there is coverage from the sun and rain with overhangs on each side of the building, shade cloth, and covered outdoor playsets. The secure perimeter fence is buried to prevent any digging under the fence.
Feel free to bring your dog's familiar blankets or toys, though we cannot guarantee their safe return. Dogs are great at sharing, burying and hiding!

We are in Arlington, Washington, west of I-5, just a quick drive from Marysville, Stanwood, Everett, and Granite Falls. We have enjoyed visits from furry friends from as far as Idaho!
